EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE MYCADILLAC APP

The MyCadillac mobile application allows you to connect effortlessly to, and efficiently manage, your vehicle through your smartphone. No matter where you are, you can interact with your Cadillac and initiate commands and check diagnostics.

The mobile app includes the thorough Owner’s Manual, a dealer locator, the ability to schedule and manage service, recall alerts, and more. Depending on the plan chosen, you can also remotely start your vehicle, lock and unlock your doors, and more.

Let’s dive into the Connected Access Plan and Remote Access Plan offered by Cadillac on its vehicles. These keep you up to date on your vehicle’s health and allow you to become a better, smarter driver.

Connected Access Plan

The Connected Access Plan is included free for ten years on all new Cadillac models. This powerful tool provides a decade’s worth of useful information to help you manage your Cadillac’s health and get the most out of your driving experience. Connected Access includes

Vehicle Diagnostics – Continually monitors your vehicle and provides monthly diagnostics emails summarizing the vehicle’s health, issues, problems, recalls, alerts, and more.

Dealer Maintenance Notification – Sends an alert to your preferred dealer that your vehicle is due for service, which allows the dealer to call and schedule an appointment with you.

MyCadillac mobile app – Provides vehicle information directly on your Android or iOS smartphone.

Marketplace – Allows you to browse and download tailored apps on your vehicle’s Cadillac Infotainment System (CUE), such as the Spotify app.

Smart Driver – Collects data on your driving habits and techniques, which it then delivers to help you become a better, safer, and more efficient driver. You can opt in or out of this data collection.

New vehicle purchases of 2022 models and after also include six months of OnStar Safety & Security coverage. This allows for an instant response should your vehicle require emergency services. Free for six months, Safety & Security coverage costs $29.99/month following the free trial and includes:

Automatic Crash Response

Emergency Services

OnStar Guardian App

Crisis Assist

Roadside Assistance

Stolen Vehicle Assistance

Remote Access Plan

The remote access plan adds more features to the MyCadillac mobile app, including ways that you can control your vehicle from anywhere. This plan is an additional cost of $14.99 per month, and it provides a variety of additional services:

Key Fob Access – This enables you to remotely start the vehicle, lock or unlock the doors, and activate the horn and lights from the app.

Vehicle Locate Services – This shows your vehicle’s approximate location and nearby address on a map.

Send-to-Navigation – This lets you send an address to your vehicle from the smartphone app, immediately commencing navigation guidance.

Family Link – Provides vehicle location information and the option to set boundary limits and/or destination arrival/departure notifications, which is ideal for teenage drivers.

Advisor-assisted On Demand Diagnostics – Pressing the OnStar button will allow an Advisor to run a report and pinpoint an issue whenever a warning light appears on the dashboard.

Downloading and Using the MyCadillac App

The MyCadillac mobile app can be downloaded from the Apple app store or Google Play store. After downloading, you can create a new account or sign in to your existing account using your GM account email and password. This email is the same one you gave your dealer when you bought the vehicle.

The MyCadillac app was recently redesigned for a new, personalized experience for users—be sure to keep the app updated to the latest version to take advantage of current and future features.

Here are a few features to get you started on the MyCadillac app:

1. The app’s home screen keeps you informed and in control.

a) In the upper-left corner, tape the User icon (your initials) to access your Account Information.

b) If you have more than one vehicle, visit your “Garage” by tapping the arrow next to your vehicle’s name. From there, you can add a new vehicle or switch the vehicle whose information you are viewing.

c) In the upper-right corner, tap the Menu icon (three dots) to get help or schedule service.

2. By adding a Remote Access Plan, you have enabled remote commands on the app’s home screen.

a) Tap and hold a command icon to start a request (engine start/stop, door lock/unlock, etc.). Hold the icon until the app says the request is complete—this may take a few seconds.

b) Press “View More” for other remote commands not listed on the home screen.

The Usefulness of the MyCadillac App

The MyCadillac app is extremely useful for drivers who want to view their vehicle’s information when away from it, and the Remote Access Plan provides more control than ever before. Cadillac ensures that its vehicles offer a high degree of connectivity through both free and paid OnStar, MyCadillac, and other connected services.
